2) Key Information for 2023 AQA A level Maths Exam

When is the AQA A level maths exam?

Provisionally, paper 1 is on Tuesday 6th June, paper 2 is on Tuesday 13th June and paper 3 is on Tuesday 20th June.

Can you use a formula booklet?

Yes, the formula booklet for AQA A level maths can be found here.

How many exams do you sit for AQA A level maths?

Three. Paper 1 assesses pure maths. Paper 2 is split into section A, which assesses pure maths, and section B, which assesses mechanics. Paper 3 is also split into two sections: section A assesses pure maths while section B assesses statistics. Each paper contributes a third to your final grade. Each paper is two hours long.

Is there coursework for the AQA maths A level?

No.

Can you use a graphical calculator?

Yes. Most students that use a graphical calculator have the model fx-CG50.
