4) Key Exam Information for 2026 Edexcel A level Maths Exam

When is the Edexcel A level maths exam?

Further Core Paper 1 is on Thursday 14th May 2026 and Further Core Paper 2 is on Thursday 21st May 2026. Both papers are in the afternoon.

 

Further Mechanics 1 is on Friday 5th June 2026; Further Statistics 1 is on Friday 12th June 2026; Further Pure 1 is on Friday 19th June 2026; Decision Maths 1 is on Tuesday 16th June 2026 and Further Pure 2, Further Statistics 2, Further Pure 2 and Decision Maths 2 are all on Monday 22nd June 2026.

Yes, the formula booklet for Edexcel A level maths can be found here.

How many exams do you sit for Edexcel A level further maths?

Four. Paper 1 and paper 2 are compulsory exams that assess your knowledge of further core. Paper 3 and paper 4 will be optional units you choose. Each paper is weighted as 25% of your final grade. Each paper is 90 minutes long.

Is there coursework for A level Edexcel Further Maths?

No.

Can you use a graphical calculator?

Yes. Most students that use a graphical calculator have the model fx-CG50.
